Jade and Josh’s Fun Modern Bishop Station Wedding

One of the Atlanta venues we’re always excited to return back to is Bishop Station. It’s a cool industrial-style space located in Midtown Atlanta, and it has so much worth highlighting. First, it’s a newer space, which is a dream in and of itself. But it also offers three separate spaces for you to convert into your ideal ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception spaces. The outside patio is wonderful for ceremonies, especially during the spring and fall, and there’s also the main reception space that has wood floors, exposed brick, and chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. Plus, there’s a downstairs “man cave”.  Jade and Josh definitely saw the appeal because they decided to plan their March wedding day at Bishop Station, and we’re so eager to share more thanks to the fantastic photos captured by Livemore Weddings!

We worked with Jade and Josh to piece together their final wedding day details. That meant we were by their sides in advance of and throughout their wedding day. They each spent their mornings getting ready with their bridesmaids and groomsmen. But they did something none of our couples has ever done before: Jade and Josh put on fun outfits and went out to lunch together with their crew at Northside Tavern, a local brewery. It was perfect and such a fun way to knock away any nerves anyone was feeling.

Post-lunch, Jade put on her wedding dress before she shared a first look with her dad. This moment was so sweet (it always is), and it was also the first moment we saw Jade’s cape in action that was made by her mom. She wore it instead of a traditional veil, and it’s a style we won’t soon forget! Plus, Jade’s dress and cape looked stunning as she walked down the aisle and met Josh at the top where they exchanged their vows in front of a geometric backdrop decked out with flowers by Bloom and Ivy Weddings. Their ceremony inside Bishop Station was perfect!

Once they were officially married, Jade and Josh captured portraits together while their guests enjoyed cocktails inside. It was an unseasonably chilly March day, but these two and all of their bridesmaids and groomsmen were such troopers who were up for anything! Also, while cocktail hour was underway, the final details were set inside the reception space, which included low centerpieces, that had a goal of highlighting the naturally beautiful wood in the space. Guests loved it all!

After deciding to do a fun lunch, we had a feeling Jade and Josh’s wedding reception would be a night to remember. We loved listening to all of their speeches, and we weren’t surprised when their dance floor remained packed for the entire night. After all, Band X was at the helm of the fun! Jade and Josh loved them so much, they made sure to snap a picture with them. Plus, everyone enjoyed a complete menu from the Proof of the Pudding team in between.

Jade and Josh’s wedding day was so festive and fun, and we’re still so thrilled to have been a part of their joy-filled day. We loved the ways in which they made untraditional choices that created a complete experience for them and everyone who means the most to them. So, you will definitely catch us recommending group lunches, wedding capes (and jumpsuits!), and Bishop Station to so many of our future couples.
