Katy and Matt’s New Year’s Eve Four Seasons Atlanta Wedding

Whether you’re about to walk down the aisle or simply celebrate a couple you love, wedding days are some of the happiest days to experience. A couple’s love story is on full display; friends and family members are able to reconnect; there’s great food; there’s dancing — there’s an endless list of glowing things to say about weddings. And one of the only other days throughout the year that shares many of the same fun attributes is New Year’s Eve. When Katy and Matt had the opportunity to wed on New Year’s Eve, the only thing to do was say yes!

Atlanta is home to plenty of spaces that mix glam and luxury together beautifully, but few are quite like the Four Seasons Atlanta. It’s one of our favorite spaces for weddings in the city because the ballroom is classic and timeless and acts as an excellent blank canvas to layer in additional styling. Katy and Matt felt the same way, so this stunning downtown hotel became their venue!

Both Katy and Matt spent their wedding days getting ready onsite. Once they were ready, they shared a much-anticipated first look together before Matt saw Katy again as she walked down the aisle. Both were beautiful moments! For the ceremony, Britt Wood designed an incredible floral arch from ivory blooms, including roses, hydrangeas, and plenty of greenery. It was stunning and provided the best kind of show-stopping moment while K and M recited their vows.

After they were officially husband and wife, Katy and Matt stepped away with their wedding party and families to capture more portraits. I have to note how much I love the photos of Katy and her mom. These two share such a special relationship, and it was so wonderful to watch them take in every moment we carefully planned together.

Just like the ceremony space, the reception space also had plenty of gorgeous blooms. Tall centerpieces provided just the right amount of drama at every table, and candles added warmth and romance. Plus, the dance floor sat in the center with lounge seating. I loved the placement of this grouping because guests could relax if they wanted to without ever being far away from the action.

Just like other celebrations, Katy and Matt’s wedding also included dinner, speeches, and plenty of dancing. But what made their moment even more fun is the confetti that fell to welcome 2022. The groom’s last name is Fetty, so it felt even more fitting and fun for this sweet duo!

Atlanta has plenty of energy throughout the year, but there’s something special in the air on New Year’s Eve in the city. When you add in a wedding for a fantastic couple, like Katy and Matt, the night transforms into an unforgettable one — and we feel so lucky to have ushered in 2022 with these two and their wonderful guests.
