Claire and Mac’s Fall Cherokee Town & Country Club Wedding

Atlanta is home to beautiful parks, historic architecture, gorgeous views of our city skyline, and some of the best people and creative professionals. While there are countless wedding venues in nearly every style, we find we get a little extra excited when there’s a timeless and classic wedding on our calendar. So, we’re so eager to share Claire and Mac’s wedding day with you. This was one for the books!

Claire and Mac share our love for our home city’s architecture, and we loved how they highlighted their church, Cathedral of Christ the King, on their save-the-date and again on their invitation. It offered such a great peek into what guests could expect to experience on their wedding day! And, we have to say expectations definitely turned into reality with these two.

They each spent their wedding mornings getting ready separately with their bridesmaids and groomsmen. At the tail end of this time, Claire started sharing first looks with those who mean the most to her with Lindsay Morgan Photography behind the lens. Claire’s bridesmaids were up first, and these ladies were simply overjoyed for her! We think that’s such a testament to the love they all share with each other. Next, Claire saw her dad outside for the first time — and his reaction did not disappoint. Then our favorite first look of the day happened: Claire saw her grandma for the first time! Our hearts melted. Finally, it was time for Claire and Mac to see each other up at the altar, and the moment (and lighting) were perfect.

Claire and Mac’s wedding ceremony is one we won’t soon forget. The architecture inside the Cathedral of Christ the King is out of this world. We felt as though we had been transported to a grand church in Europe. The space not only offered an incredible spot for Claire to walk down the aisle, but the acoustics and overall environment were ideal for Claire and Mac to exchange their vows. It made sense for the exterior of the Cathedral of Christ the King to appear on C and M’s stationery because such a monumental moment happened in an equally monumental setting!

Once they were officially married, it was time for Claire, Mac, their wedding party, and their guests to join together at Cherokee Town & Country Club, which is located in the heart of Buckhead. But, before the reception was officially underway, Claire, Mac, and their families saw the space for the first time as a group. Often, we share a peek with the bride and groom, so it felt so special to witness C, M, and their loved ones see it together! Tables were topped with a mixture of high and low centerpieces by On Occasions of Atlanta that all featured lush ivory and soft blue florals complete with candles and gold details. The couple’s white cake was also on display, and the stage was ready for Big Night Dynamite to make an impression. It was perfect!

The reception began with introductions, and Claire and Mac’s wedding party brought the fun! Then Claire and Mac shared their first dance, which was one of our favorite moments from the entire day. Of course, a wedding day would not be complete without heartfelt speeches and parent dances, so those were highlights as well. But, we have to admit we had the most fun watching Big Night Dynamite absolutely bring the house down with their sound and energy — one of the best bands we love recommending to our clients!

As the mother of the bride (for my oldest daughter’s wedding), I have to tell you how much I appreciated Lauren from Just About Love Weddings! From the day we hired her to be our ‘Day Of’ wedding planner, she was amazing! She sent us monthly check-ins with a list of suggested ‘to-do’s’ each month, but she did so much more than that as well. She gave us great suggestions throughout the process. I have to say that where she shined the most was in the last month before the wedding. As we hired her for the ‘Day Of’ package, I did not expect her to do all of the follow-up, check-in, and scheduling of the vendors. I did not have to reach out to one vendor in the weeks leading up to the wedding! SHE DID IT ALL!! She was thorough, professional, kind, friendly, considerate, incredibly organized, and so very helpful! Simply magical! And I know that I have Lauren and Just About Love Weddings to thank for that!

From the moment we first met Claire and Mac, we knew their wedding day would be something special. And, we are so happy to report we were right. Plus, we had the great joy of getting to know Claire and Mac’s families, and for that, we are so grateful. Congratulations, Claire and Mac! Can we do it all again?!
