There are spaces in Atlanta for nearly any type of wedding, and if you’re planning a fete that has industrial-meets-contemporary style, we cannot recommend Upstairs Atlanta enough. The space has indoor and outdoor options for ceremonies and receptions, including a reception space, a patio, and a terrace. We love how much natural light flows into the clean designed space! Ashleigh and Chris quickly knew that this was the spot where they were meant to get married, and we’re so happy they invited us to come on board too.

On their wedding day, Ashleigh and Chris spent time getting ready separately with their bridesmaids and groomsmen. Both were completely relaxed, which we always love to see! They did want to see each other for their first look prior to their ceremony, so they met each other at Grant Park, where Chris could finally see Ashleigh in her wedding dress. Then they exchanged heartfelt cards and gifts together, and had their sweet dogs join in on the fun too!

Just before their ceremony, Ashleigh shared the sweetest first look with her grandma. We always love when grandparents are treated to a special moment. Then it was time for Ashleigh and Chris’ indoor wedding ceremony at Upstairs Atlanta. Ashleigh and Chris’ beautiful minimalist arch, which was designed by Jenna Quigley Lee who is also one of the couple’s family friends, a friend close to the couple who also acted as flower men, and the couple’s heartfelt vows were all some of our favorite details.

While guests sipped on cocktails, Ashleigh and Chris stepped away with Ashley Jen Photography to capture portraits inside and outside of Upstairs Atlanta. The industrial setting gave a fun touch to their indoor portraits, while the beautiful light outside truly made their time spent outdoors shine. Back inside, the room was flipped from a ceremony space into a reception space. Long tables lined with garlands and pink blooms awaited guests, and the altar served as a head table backdrop. Between the soft lighting, romantic candles, and wooden and metal textures, the space could not have looked more beautiful.

After Ashleigh and Chris enjoyed their first dance and dances with their parents, Chris surprised Ashleigh with a song he performed for her. This might have been our favorite moment of the night! They listened to speeches from their loved ones, and everyone dined on a menu created by Elizabeth’s Catering. Then Brian from Amp’d Entertainment made sure everyone had a great time on the dance floor. And it’s safe to say Ashleigh, Chris, and their guests had a blast!
