Historical Carriage House is a Buckhead Gem for Weddings : Swan Coach House
Swan Coach House is well known for its charming High Tea gatherings, bridal showers, and art shows, but it is also a truly special venue for weddings. With its rich character and history, it provides a timeless setting for couples looking to celebrate their love in an elegant Southern atmosphere. Accommodating up to 150 guests, the venue features an upstairs and downstairs space, as well as a picturesque patio where most ceremonies take place. The in-house catering perfectly complements the venue, offering a delightful Southern cuisine experience.
One of our favorite weddings at Swan Coach House was Rachel and Daniel’s beautiful June 2024 celebration. They made full use of the venue’s multiple spaces, creating a seamless and unforgettable experience for themselves and their guests.
The bride and groom arrived at the venue mostly ready for their wedding day. Rachel did put her dress on at the venue in the Bridal Suite downstairs before their first look at the front doors of the Swan Coach House photographed by Alexandira Grace. They were able to capture the history and garden while exchanging their private vows to one another. Once their time together had been captured the bride and groom had planned on the family to arrive for photos before the ceremony. We love when as many photos can be taken before the ceremony so that couples can either go into cocktail hour or slip away for newlywed photos and of course the private moment that happens at all our weddings.
The ceremony took place on the venue’s scenic outdoor patio, framed by a beautiful floral arch provided by Flourish Floral & Decor. Guests were welcomed with custom fans to keep cool as they witnessed Rachel and Daniel say “I do.” The ceremony held special meaning, as Lindsay, the groom’s sister, officiated the ceremony. Once the I-DO’S were said and the rings were on their fingers the couple were ready to mingle and drink with their loved ones, so everyone made their way to the Bella Nita Room which is on the 3rd floor.
This space is perfect for receptions, offering an indoor dining experience while cocktails and dancing unfold outside.
Rachel and Daniel shared their first dance to “The Luckiest” by Ben Folds before slipping away for a private dinner together, while their guest enjoyed their stations with one another.
Once dinner wrapped up, the real party began! The newlyweds took the dance floor for their parent dances, followed by the cake cutting and heartfelt speeches. Then, D Street Entertainment got the celebration going on the patio, and Rachel and Daniel never left the dance floor for the rest of the night!
From the first look to the final dance, Rachel and Daniel’s wedding at Swan Coach House was a dream come true. It was an honor to coordinate such a joyful and love-filled day for this wonderful couple.
